Mini travel guide: 3 days in Puerto Rico, Part 1
Hello Monday, friends! Hope your weekend was great! I'm so excited for this week and have got some really exciting things in store for you! I'll tell you all about it tomorrow, so stay tuned!! Well, to start off the week, I finally had a few moments to go through my photos from my Puerto Rico trip two weekends ago. I was only there for 3 days but you can just imagine how many things we did...so I'll be spreading this post out over 2 parts! We made our way around the entire island (fyi: if done non-stop on the highway it would probably take around 4 hours driving). I've not only got some beautiful photos, but a mini-travel guide for you...should you ever find yourself visiting Puerto Rico for just a weekend...(totally do-able!)
Gosh, going through these photos, I really cannot get over how beautiful all the colorful buildings were! Just check them out below... . . .
3 days in Puerto Rico:
WHAT TO SEE
Old San Juan Out of all the towns, you simply must visit Old San Juan. I flew into San Juan so we just stayed in the city for the night and walked around this gorgeous historic town. It was well worth it to spend the day there exploring - quaint cobblestone streets and unique stores, right near the water, the most beautiful colorful and intricate buildings, and not to mention the delicious, authentic restaurants!
San Juan National Historic Site: Castillo San Felipe del Morro Located amongst jaw-dropping gorgeous grounds, this 16th century grand and historic fort was designed to guard the entrance to San Juan Bay and defend the city from seaborne enemies. Even if you don't decide to go into the fort, the massive landscape and grounds are enough to draw you in! . . .
WHERE TO STAY: Sheraton Puerto Rico Hotel & Casino . . .
