Happy Easter with hand lettered eggs
You may already know this but I'm a huge animal lover with two house buns of my own. I spread the word each Easter about how bunnies and chicks do not make good gifts for children. Parents often impulsively purchase these cute "Easter" animals for their kids but do not realize the aftermath of having a small animal come into their home. They require a lot of work, specialized veterinary care and diet, and live long lives (Domingo is 10 years old this year!). They also need a lot of space and don't usually do well with small children. Kids often become "tired" of them as they grow older and many of these animals are then left in shelters facing an unpredictable future. So unless you're ready to commit to taking proper long-term care of these beautiful and fragile creatures, please think before you buy!
Instead, give your children stuffed animals, chocolate bunnies, and/or gift baskets full of sweet treats, puzzles, coloring books, and other fun Easter toys (those were what I loved getting as a kid on Easter...are they too dated? lol)
Enjoy your Friday and Easter weekend, lovely friends!
